Curves

I have added curved components into a lot of the furniture I’ve made, including legs, stretchers, and even entire cabinets.

Sometimes these curved components are just cut on the bandsaw and then shaped and finished using hand tools & sandpaper. Other times, components are constructed using bent laminations, such as the legs and stretchers in the table to the right. On my Windsor Chairs, I bend some of the components using steam-bending.
