Through-Tenons

Through-tenons are a feature when the end of the tenon pokes through to the other edge and can be used as a decorative feature. They are usually wedged when they’re glued up and this adds a lot of strength to the joint. When the wedges are made using a contrasting wood, they add another interesting aspect to the piece.
