I designed and built this table in a course I took at Rosewood Studio a number of years ago. The table features a solid Curly Maple table-top and a Black Cherry base. The legs protrude above the table-top and the table-top wraps around the legs with a small gap to allow seasonal movement of the wood. The Curly Maple had two really interesting mineral stains in the wood which I kept and incorporated into the book-matched table-top.
