I designed and built this jewelry box for my wife for Christmas in 2003. The dovetail joints were all cut by hand. Each of the four dovetail joints took about 3-4 hours to complete. The top and the bottom are solid panels made from curly maple. The two smaller sliding boxes inside are made from padauk and have solid maple bottoms.
Finished with hand-rubbed shellac and wax.
