Mason Bee Houses

I made a set of 4 Mason Bee Houses for my grand-daughters and their cousins for Christmas, with the idea being that the kids could have fun painting and decorating them. Mason Bees are good at polinating plants and flowers. My grand-daughters also enjoy gardening, so they will be able to mount these houses near their planter boxes.

Each house is constructed from a 4 foot piece of a 2×4. The holes are 3/8″ in diameter and accommodate 5/16″ diameter mason bee tubes.
