Neeraj and Emily’s Mirror

I made this wedding present for our friends Neeraj and Emily in 2024. The mirror frame is made from Black Cherry. The matching shelf is made from Black Cherry and Curly Maple.

Photographing mirrors can be a little tricky as the mirror (obviously) reflects the background. The last photo in the gallery shows how I photographed it using a second backdrop so that the mirror just reflected the white paper backdrop.

The mirror and the shelf are hung on the wall using aluminum French Cleats. These hold securely and allow the mirror and/or the shelf to slide horizontally in order to perfectly centre them.
