Table Saw Tenoning Jig
This jig gets used on the table saw to cut live-tenons on parts such as stretchers or legs.
The jig is constructed so that it is a tight-fit on the table saw fence and can slide in and out without rocking or wobbling. There is a built-in clamp which holds the part tightly against the jig.
The wood fence behind the workpiece to be cut is designed to be sacrificial. It is bolted onto the side of the tenon jig, allowing it to be adjusted to be exactly vertical. Plus, when it gets chewed up after cutting many (different) tenons, it can simply be replaced.

The following slideshow shows the eight steps involved in cutting a live-tenon using a cross-cut sled and the Tenon Jig. The first step is to cut all four shoulders using a cross-cut sled on the table saw. Then cut all four faces of the tenon using the Tenon Jig on a table saw..
