Bandsaw Veneer Fence
I use this bandsaw fence for cutting veneer.
The fence is precisely 90° to the bandsaw table, thus making it perfectly parallel to the bandsaw blade. This is especially important when cutting veneer so that the thickness of the veneer is uniform across its width. I usually cut veneer slightly more than 1/16″ thick.
Two Mag-Jig Magnetic Clamps are used to adjust the position of the fence relative to the bandsaw blade. Once the fence is correctly positioned, I use a pair of clamps at the front and back to secure it to the bandsaw table, preventing any movement when pressing the plank of wood to cut veneer.
The veneer fence is 10 ½” tall, and I can cut veneers about 12″ wide using this fence on my Felder FB-610 bandsaw.
You can view a video on YouTube showing me cutting veneer using this fence.
